Angry Birds Space Now Available
The latest game in one of the best selling game franchises in the history of video games is back with a new installment, this time set in space. So take control of your catapult and kill some pigs.
The newest installment of Angry Birds changes the recipe a bit. Rather than being based somewhere sensible, like, say, a medieval world run by rotund green pigs, this one is set in space. The main new gimmick added in this version of the game are the planetoids. The previous games have all been set on the ground, with a constant gravity field pulling you down. Not so in Angry Birds Space. Now every shot sends you careening around small circular worlds.
I’m not sure why the birds don’t have on space suits, but it might have something to do with the fact that they are dressed like superheroes. The pigs, meanwhile, freeze if they are exposed to the vacuum of space. they instead live in soap bubbles, when they’re not in a planetoid’s gravity field.
The level design is as great as you would expect from an Angry Birds game, but let’s be honest: you would download this game even if it was terrible. It is Angry Birds, after all.
