5GB Free Storage with Dropbox for Testing New Mobile App
Okay, so this isn’t strictly news, but come on, its free storage! Cloud storage company Dropbox is giving away 5Gb free storage to people who are willing to test its mobile app on their phones. Which is probably a good thing, since the app is designed to automatically index images and videos, and upload them to the service.
Dropbox makes a killer cloud storage solution. The company makes it dead simple to share files between your phone, your computer, and your friends and coworkers, keeping everything completely in sync. But the company’s data plans are pretty pricey. While you can get more stace than the default 2Gb, you will be paying serious money for the privilege. Which is what makes this 5Gb offer so compelling.
It should be noted that you aren’t given the space all at once. When you upload your first photo or video, you get 500Mb. Then, each time you upload 500Mb of video, you get another 500Mb, until you reach the 5Gb limit. Still, that does’t make this offer any less compelling.
