HTCs One Line Released in EuropeHTC has a new direction and a new vision. After a dissappointin last couple of quarters, the company decided to shift from ins numerous tiered phone models and instead release just a few, each with a focus on quality.
The result of that shift is the HTC One line of phones, available now in Europe. We here in America will have to wait until next month for the phone, but we’re already hearing about how incredible they are.
The HTC One line is made up of 3 different phones: the One S, the One X, and the One V. The One X is the flagship model, a 4.7 inch phone with an incredible 720P display, a quad-core processor and a stellar camera sensor. The One X is the mid-range device, a 4.3 inch dual-core device with a pentile display. The One V, meanwhile is the budget device. It has a 3.7 inch display running, 512 mb of RAM, and a 1 ghz processor.
All three are running HTC’s new Sense 4.0, a change in direction for the company. The new version is meant to be more minimal than the previous ones, taking to heart all the criticisms leveled at the interface.
Fellow Geek will be prepping a meta-review of the One X and S for your perusal. For that we need to wait for some more reviews to trickle in. As it stands, however, the One S and X seem to be two of the best phones ever made. HTC’s commitment to quality seems to have paid off, with their new hardware challenging the build quality of the best on the market. The Verge has also called the screen on the One X the best that they have ever seen on a phone, period.
